Lafarge Precast is proud of the results done to complete the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Parkade on schedule and on budget. This parking structure is a key infrastructure project supporting the new regional hospital in Grande Prairie providing seamless access for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring the hospital’s efficient operation.
Securing this project was the result of years of development, strong industry relationships, and a deep understanding of the project’s requirements. Lafarge Precast stayed connected with key stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication with the design team from Dialog, and potential contractors. This proactive approach paid off positioning Lafarge Precast as the preferred supplier.
Graham Construction, the General Contractor, awarded Lafarge Precast the contract for the supply and installation of the parking structure after a competitive tendering process. This parkade include approximately 800 elevated parking stalls and 200 stalls on the ground level for a total of 1,000 spaces to accommodate the hospital’s needs. Lafarge Ready Mix was also selected to supply the concrete, further demonstrating Lafarge’s comprehensive capabilities in delivering large-scale projects.
The projects focus was on delivering high-quality precast solutions that ensure durability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This parkade represents another milestone in Lafarge’s commitment to supporting Alberta’s healthcare infrastructure and the communities it serves.
