Architectural Precast Concrete
Our Architectural precast concrete products like the wall cladding panels being produced in the above video, are utilized on renovation projects like the new Singhmar Centre for Learning here in Edmonton on NorQuest College’s downtown expansion project. Our Architectural precast concrete products cladding panels will form part of the external envelope of this new center for learning, which will be equipped with 24 classrooms and 25 labs including an underground parking garage with room for 107 vehicles.
Lafarge Precast Edmonton will be fabricating the exterior architectural precast concrete products cladding panels which will be integrally colored to match Dialog’s architectural samples on this project.
One of the primary reasons architectural precast concrete products were selected for this project is because of cost and speed of construction. All Precast cladding panels are made off site as shown above and delivered to the project on a “just in time” basis, all shipments are efficiently and conveniently coordinated between Lafarge Precast Edmonton and the main contractor to ensure the tight project timelines were met.
All components in our architectural precast concrete product production process are thoroughly inspected by our quality control team to ensure that single tees are produced in accordance with the specific engineered drawings. In accordance with our CPCI certification all architectural precast concrete is tested prior to pouring to ensure it meets the project criteria, similarly prior to stripping and shipping the cylinders taken during pre-pour testing process are tested to ensure they meet the appropriate level of strength.
